Questo quintetto prodotto da Rat Pack Music che si esibirà in anteprima assoluta al Festival Jazz On The Road, nasce su idea del Grande trombettista Alex Sipiagin che, per l’occasione ha voluto riunire il Gotha del Jazz mondiale di nuova generazione: al sassofono Seamus Blake, con il quale collabora da diversi anni nel quintetto Opus Five e nella Mingus Big Band e Dinasty, Antonio Faraò, uno dei più interessanti pianisti italiani, Doug Weiss al contrabbasso e lo straordinario batterista Jeff Ballard. Il repertorio di questa All Star Band sarà costituito da composizioni originali scritte appositamente dal leader e da Seamus Blake, in uno stile di Modern Jazz newyorkese, cioè l’evoluzione degli stili classici della musica afroamericana, senza tralasciare lo swing e l’interplay. La Musica di quresto strordinario quintetto sarà certamente in grado di soddisfare i palati più fini e moderni, senza tralasciare coloro che si sentono più legati alla tradizione.

A quintet produced by Rat Pack Music which will perform in absolute preview at the Jazz On The Road Festival, was created by the idea of the great trumpeter Alex Sipiagin who, for the occasion, wanted to bring together the gotha of a generation of jazz: on saxophone Seamus Blake , with whom he has collaborated for several years in the Opus Five quintet and in the Mingus Big Band and Dinasty, Antonio Faraò, one of the most interesting Italian pianist, Doug Weiss on double bass and finally the extraordinary drummer Jeff Ballard. The repertoire of this All Star Band will consist of original compositions specially written by the leader and Seamus Blake, in a New York style of Modern Jazz, that is the evolution of the classic styles of Afro-American music without neglecting swing and interplay. The music of this extraordinary quintet will certainly be able to satisfy the finest and most modern palates, without neglecting those who feel more tied to tradition.
