DUE CONCERTI CON CENA SOTTO LE STELLE...Tutte le sere del Festival, a partire dalle ore 20,00, nell’Arena Jazzontheroad, sarà possibile ascoltare un ottimo concerto NEW WAY, dedicato ai giovani talenti, cenando con squisiti piatti preparati da Eat&Smile e bevendo l’ottima birra del Birrificio Curtense, in attesa del concerto “Big” in programma.

Mud Pie è un'antica torta al cioccolato originaria del Mississipi... ed è proprio questo luogo il legame con la nostra musica.
La musica di MudPie ha radici nel lontano Mississipi con un blues essenziale e comunicatore che viene arricchito di ingredienti quali l'elettronica, l'Africa, il jazz, il rock, l'Europa...
Il fango è il risultato dell'unione di musicisti con percorsi e sonorità differenti che trovano il filo logico del loro pensiero nel blues, nel jazz e nelle profonde influenze africane.

JOE ARMON-JONES Band
Il prodigioso tastierista, considerato una delle principali stelle del brillante movimento jazz del Regno Unito, per il Festival Jazzontheroad ha riunito alcuni dei migliori musicisti della attuale scena inglese in una band che combina senza sforzo ritmi e melodie coinvolgenti in un suono incredibilmente complesso, in grado di offrire un concerto estremamente eccitante.
Joe Armon-Jones, oltre ad essere un membro fondatore del mitico gruppo Ezra Collective, si è esibito con un vasto range di artisti che va da Pharoahe Monch, ad ATA KAK e suona regolarmente nelle band di Nubya Garcia, China, Moses e Binker, Golding Quartet. Nel settembre del 2017 Joe ha realizzato un nuovo progetto, questa volta in duo con il produttore Maxwell Owin, da qui l'album "Idiom", pubblicato dalla YAM Records e andato esaurito in pochi giorni dalla sua uscita. Poi l'esigenza artistica, la necessità di un suo percorso in solo è la molla che lo porta a comporre “Starting Today”, album di debutto solista pubblicato da Brownswood Records nel 2018. Un lavoro eccellente, dove Armon-Jones padroneggia pienamente diversi linguaggi musicali e riversa molte delle sue influenze: il jazz di Oscar Peterson e la fusion di Herbie Hancock, ma anche l’afro-beat di Fela Kuti, l’hip-hop, la deep house creando un affascinante viaggio sonoro fatto di tempi dilatati, temi ficcanti e improvvisazione.
TWO CONCERTS WITH DINNER UNDER THE STARS...Every evening of the Festival, starting at 20.00, in the Jazzontheroad Arena, it will be possible to listen to an excellent NEW WAY concert, dedicated to young talents, having dinner with delicaceds prepared by Eat & Smile and drinking the excellent the Curtense Brewery's beer, waiting for the scheduled "Big" concert.

Joe's debut album, “Starting Today”, released on 4th May 2018, has since received over 2.5 million plays on Spotify, sustains over 180,000+ monthly listeners and the tracks are consistently featured on taste-making, Spotify-curated playlists like UK Jazz, The State of Jazz, Poolside Disco and many more. Tracks from the debut album are frequently supported on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 2, NTS, Solid Steel Radio, Balamii, Worldwide FM, and in particular BBC Radio 6’s UK Jazz Special at Maida Vale with Gilles Peterson. Nominated for Best Jazz Album at the Worldwide Awards, Armon-Jones is a staple in the UK - and world - jazz scene.
